Campagnolo is an Italian manufacturer of bicycle parts, headquartered in Vicenza, Italy. The company was founded in 1933 by Tullio Campagnolo. Campagnolo is known as one of the most prestigious bicycle component manufacturers.
Campagnolo mainly produces the so-called group. These are all moving parts on a bicycle: hubs or wheel axles, cassette, chain, derailleurs, crankset, bottom bracket, pedals, brakes, brake/gear shifters ("Ergopower") and headset. Campagnolo only produces groupsets for road bikes. In addition, Campagnolo also markets road bike wheels and cycling clothing and also produces specially designed cycling computers for its groups. Campagnolo also makes the Pista group, specifically for track cycling. This consists only of the wheel hubs, crankset with blades and bottom bracket, fixed rear wheel sprocket and headset.
