The team exists since 1997 and was founded by sports director Cyrille Guimard, who left the team after a year. The main sponsor Cofidis is a French credit bank.
From 2005 to 2009 the team was a UCI ProTour team. From 2010 it competes in the UCI Continental Tour, from 2011-2019 the team had ProContinental status and from 2020 the status of UCI World Tour team.
