Vacansoleil-DCM was a Dutch cycling team that was part of the professional peloton from 2009. The team competed in the UCI World Tour of the UCI from 2011. Before that, it operated in the pro-continental circuits for several years.
The team was founded by Daan Luijkx in 2005 under the name Fondas Imabo-Doorisol. Doorisol stopped sponsoring in 2006 and P3 Transfer, an organization of ROC West-Brabant, became the new co-sponsor. In 2007, P3 Transfer also became the main sponsor and Batavus joined as sponsor.
Starting with the 2009 season, the team became a Pro-Continental team. To achieve this and raise the level of the team, Bobbie Traksel and Aart Vierhouten, among others, had already been recruited for the 2008 season. As of 1 January 2009, Vacansoleil became the new main sponsor. The team was fully integrated into the Vacansoleil Cycling Team and became a Pro Continental Team for good. Batavus remained connected to the team as a supplier. The Vacansoleil Cycling Team consisted of 18 riders, one of whom was a cyclo-cross rider. The Belgian Hilaire Van der Schueren became one of the team leaders. He came over from Cycle-Collstrop, a team that was disbanded, and took some riders to the new team. Vacansoleil committed to the team for three years and set itself the goal of gradually making the leap to the world top in order to be able to participate in at least one Grand Tour in 2011.
