Size: M (unisex)
Condition: 8.5/10 (used)
Toyota Racing was a Formula 1 team owned by the Japanese car manufacturer Toyota, which competed in the Formula 1 Grand Prix from 2002 to 2009.
The team was headquartered in Cologne, Germany. The main technical people were Luca Marmorini and Pascal Vasselon (technical director). Gustav Brunner was also part of the team until the end of 2005, as was Mike Gascoyne, who was fired after the Australian Grand Prix in 2006.
On November 4, 2009, the Japanese car manufacturer announced that its activities in Formula 1 were being terminated with immediate effect. The reason for this is the economic crisis. Toyota is the third manufacturer to turn its back on Formula 1, after BMW and Honda.
Despite grand plans and a very large investment, both in terms of budget and facilities, Toyota never managed to win a Grand Prix. The team achieved 3 pole positions and 13 podiums in its eight years of operation.
On January 29, Stefan Grand Prix showed interest in the former Formula 1 team. In its own words, the team had bought plans and designs for the last Formula 1 car from Toyota Motorsport. However, Stefan Grand Prix has not received a starting permit for the 2010 season.
