Rugby sevens is a variant of rugby union played with seven players per team, with halves of seven minutes long and on an entire rugby field. In the event of a draw there is the possibility of extra time and in final rounds there are exceptions where 10 minutes are played per half. Compared to regular rugby union, this sport is mainly based on speed and agility, which is why it is usually played by people who play in regular rugby as "backs". However, in traditional rugby countries there are players who have specifically focused on sevens.
