It is the first rugby association in the history of the watery municipalities.
The A.S.D. RUGBY BLUES 2008 was born in 2008 in San Giovanni in Persiceto with the name “Persiceto rugby 2008”. In September of the same year he began playing sports in the primary schools of Persiceto and in January 2009 he began his activity on the field at the O. Ungarelli sports center in Persiceto with only 5 children...
After two years and 20 more children, the association was forced to move to the neighboring municipality of Sant'Agata Bologense and since then Persiceto rugby 2008 has become RUGBY BLUES 2008, recalling the club colours, namely blue, in its name. Currently the association has almost 80 members, all minors, and the management of two sports facilities in Sant'Agata Bolognese:
The Bellei stadium in via 21 April 1945 n11/b and the Alfonsina road sports field in the eastern district n22.
In 2022 the BLUES will organize the first summer sports center in the municipality of Sant'Agata Bologense: the SANT'AGATA SPORT CAMP
