Bianchi was an Italian cycling team that was founded in 1899, making it one of the oldest cycling teams in the world. The team existed from 1899 to 1900, from 1905 to 1966, from 1973 to 1989 (under the leadership of Giancarlo Ferretti), in 1993 and a last time in 2003. The Italian bicycle brand Bianchi was always the main sponsor or co-sponsor.

On May 23, 2003, Team Bianchi was 're-established' after Team Coast was suspended by the UCI on May 8, 2003 after repeated reminders and temporary suspensions to meet their financial obligations. Bicycle constructor Bianchi took over responsibility for the team under a German license with Jacques Hanegraaf as manager and Rudy Pevenage as team leader. This meant that Jan Ullrich and Tobias Steinhauser, among others, could still participate in the Tour de France.

After the 2003 cycling season, Bianchi returned in 2004 as co-sponsor of the Alessio-Bianchi team. Bianchi was again co-sponsor in 2005, this time of the Liquigas team. This sponsorship stopped after the same season. However, in 2005 it became a sponsor of the Norwegian Team Maxbo Bianchi, a continental team.
