Crédit Agricole was a French cycling team, sponsored by the French bank of the same name. The team existed since the autumn of 1998 as the successor to GAN, but the history of the team goes back to 1901, as GAN again originated from the Z formation and Z in turn from the renowned Peugeot cycling team.
The team's manager was Roger Legeay, who was assisted by sports directors Serge Beucherie, Jean-Jacques Henry, Michel Laurent and Dennis Roux. For some years, the team also had a U23 team, but with the introduction of the UCI ProTour in 2005, to which Crédit Agricole also belonged, that team was disbanded. In 2008 Credit Agricole stopped sponsoring and the end of the team was a fact.
