Condition 9.5/10 (used)
Lotus F1 Team was a British Formula One team that was active from 2012 to 2015. Lotus took over the Renault F1 Team completely, after which it was bought back at the end of 2015. The last year the team raced with engines from Mercedes as the successor to Renault. At the end of 2011 it was decided to rename the Renault Formula One team to Lotus, after Lotus Cars had been title sponsor and co-owner of the team in 2011.
On Tuesday 29 November 2011 it was confirmed that Kimi Räikkönen, after a two-year absence, had signed a two-year contract with Team Lotus for the years 2012 and 2013. On 9 December 2011 it was confirmed that Romain Grosjean will be the teammate of the Finnish 2007 world champion. Grosjean became champion in the GP2 series, the stepping stone to Formula 1, in 2011. Räikkönen claimed the team's first GP victory in Abu Dhabi on 4 November 2012.
