Cannondale Pro Cycling Team was the successor to Liquigas-Cannondale, which was sponsored by the Italian gas company of the same name. From 2013, Brixia Sport had taken over the license, with bicycle manufacturer Cannondale as main sponsor. It remained an Italian cycling team that competed in the UCI World Tour. The team was founded in 2005 as a new team, which attracted many riders from the disbanded teams Alessio and Vini Caldirola. The riders rode Cannondale bikes. In the Grand Tours the team rode the Cannondale Super-Six Hi-Mod. During rides with poor road surfaces (e.g. Paris-Roubaix), the team often opted for the Cannondale Synapse Hi-mod.
