Panaria was co-sponsor of the Lampre-Panaria formation in 1994 and 1995 and main sponsor of Panaria-Vinavil the following year. Panaria stopped as sponsor after 1996 and the team was largely taken over by Mapei.

In 2000, Panaria took over the main sponsorship of the cycling team that was founded in 1982 and emerged in 1999 as Navigare-Gaerne. The leadership of this formation was all that time in the hands of Bruno Reverberi and from 1997 together with his son Roberto and this remained the case at Panaria. The cosponsor changed regularly. In 2005, at the same time as the switch to bicycle brand Colnago, the team obtained an Irish license. On August 30, 2007, main sponsor Ceramica Panaria announced that it would stop as a sponsor after the season.
