Notorious GIRO 2016 STAGE 19: SOLO VICTORY NIBALI, KRUIJSWIJK FORCHES PINK JERSEY BY FALL TO CHAVES

Half of the 19th stage of the 2016 Giro is uphill. In 162 kilometers the drivers drive to the French ski village of Risoul. Kruijswijk rides strong, but when he drives into the snow wall just after lapping the Agnel, he has to chase. That takes so much power that he concedes minutes on the final climb. Higher up the mountain, Nibali attacks and solos to victory, while Chaves takes the pink jersey. Kruijswijk loses the chance to win the Giro here.
